Face Mask Favourites (Lush Edition) πŸ’†

by - March 14, 2017

Theres nothing like a face mask that makes your face so refreshed and clean so, as requested from a poll on my twitter - https://twitter.com/velvetblogs (why not give me a cheeky follow) I've got a lush face mask favourites for you!

Cupcake £6.75

This mask was my first face mask from lush that I got as a gift, I had high hopes for this to smell literally like chocolate but it has quite an odd scent which kind of put me off! However, it was great as a mask itself, it made my skin glow a lot more. I'd say this is more of a normal mask than for anything in particular. This is great to use when your skin is feeling a little dull and needs some love.

Catastrophe Cosmetic £6.75

This mask honestly made my skin so much whiter, cleaner and I don't even think it was my mind playing tricks because I wanted it to work. The mask has elements of blueberries and seaweed so it's quite thick and bitsy. So can be a bit tricky to put on. It is cleansing so I definitely feel that it does its job. 100% recommend this one! I've actually nearly finished this so might need to repurchase or let me know your favs so I can try them out x

Rosy Cheeks £6.75

This has to be my favourite lush mask in existence! It literally made my skin feel like a baby's butt and had a hint of rose scent. This ones a bit more on the liquid side so was super easy to apply with a brush or with your fingers and it gives a rubbery sort of feel once its dried which I haven't seen in a face mask yet! And its pink so what can go wrong? The only thing that would make it better would be if it was a peel off mask, for us lazy gals.

I've heard a lot about how some lush masks aren't good to use once its been over a month I think, but these ones have worked for me even after a month, but I do make sure to keep them in the fridge.

What's your favourite masks? And is there any you would want to try out? I'd love to try out the Mask of Magnaminty as it helps fight breakouts and the Don't Look At Me mask because its literally ocean blue ahh!

  2. Can you believe I've never tried a lush face mask? Or anything other than a bath bomb for that matter! I always assumed they were more expensive but £7 is so good! And I'm glad I read this as I would normally be drawn towards cupcakes (oh god what's wrong with me ahah) but now I'll probably get the rosy cheeks one!

  5. Ooh these masks sound great! Are they all quite messy to take off, or relatively easy? I have one of their other masks and I always have to do it in the shower otherwise it goes everywhere.

    1. I think it depends on the consistency of the product, the more crumblier they are the easier, but that means they go everywhere, I personally like rosy cheeks as you literaly just have to swipe it off! x Otherwise in the shower it is haha :)

  7. I hadn't tried Lush face masks until just before Christmas, and I really regret that I didn't do it sooner! I really want to try the rosy cheeks one, because it looks gorgeous - but I really don't like the smell of rose. My favourite is the Brazened Honey, kinda reminds me of guacamole, but made my skin feel AMAZING!

  9. I too love Cupcake! I'm sad it doesn't smell like chocolate too, but I still really like the smell for some reason. Plus spooning it out of the tub just feels so lovely and pampering, just wish I had a tub of actual chocolate too with it! xx

  10. I want every mask from Lush, honestly. I think, from these, I'd like to try catastrophe the most. My face could use some good whitening and balancing because I'm so blotchy. Great post! xx

    1. It helps so much with whitening, but mostly on the areas that are generally light already. I've got darkness around my mouth but that hasn't seemed to disappear but then again, I haven't used it on a regular basis, so it may work xo
